| Second Saturday Serve |

|
Second Saturday serve is a day when Van Dykers have the opportunity to be Jesus with skin. We serve the chronically ill, the elderly, single mothers and many more with home chores and yard maintenance. We also help non-profits and local ministries serving meals and painting living quarters.
Serve teams are organized each month. They meet at the west end of the parking lot near the storage sheds at 8:15 a.m. on the second Saturday of each month. You will meet the team leader who will provide you with driving directions to the site and instruct you on what supplies/tools to gather from the shed. The teams usually serve about 4 hours.

2008 Serve Dates
Saturday, January 12th-Served Ms. Bonnie, an elderly Van Dyker, who needed help cutting her lawn, trimming limbs, and raking leaves. Praise God for the team who served.Saturday, February 9th-Join us help an 82 year young lady avoid a City code violation on her home. We need a team to blow leaves off roof and power-wash her mobil home.
Saturday, March 8th-Join the Men's Minstry as they serve at Hope Children's Home. They will be clearing brush off for new roads, sand/paint Case backhoe and tractor, and pour two concrete slabs.
