Route 252 uses video curriculum to teach children about the Bible. See how we add a human touch to present it with greater impact. Discover how using video curriculum can reduce your prep time and solve your programming obstacles. This session is geared toward nursery and preschool age ministries. – Marcia Navas
Building Bridges of Faith for Special Needs Children
Learn how one mom of a special needs child started a program here at Van Dyke, so her son could go to Sunday School and learn about Jesus. Come discover how to start this very special ministry for children so that parents can worship and children can learn about Jesus. – Janet Atkinson

Video – What’s Legal?
Many churches nowadays are using the exciting technology of video to enhance their worship experience and yours may be one of them. In trying to connect with your pop-culture-minded congregation, you may be adding material from movies, TV, or other popular media to your presentations... but is this legal? This workshop will present a primer on the laws governing copyright of this type of material and what licenses are necessary to use it legally. – Erik Reece

Leading Worship from Behind the Desk

This workshop is all about what we do all week to build a powerful worship experience that leads people into real encounters with God. We will learn how to build a powerful worship set list from the ground up, the importance of building worship times into rehearsals, discovering and incorporating new material, CCLI and copyright issues, and how to use all the worship resources that are available to their fullest potential. Hospital Visitation and Caring Friends Ministry
This workshop will teach you how to build a team of volunteers to provide care, emotional support, and friendship for your homebound and nursing home population and their families. We train volunteers to make home visits, hospital visits and assisted living visits. This ministry provides assistance and support for individuals managing with the emotional aspects of aging parents. We will also equip you with the tools needed to form a team that will provide worship to those living in a nursing home. – Deborah Brooks

We’ll explore how to attract people to small group leadership and what tools to give them as they begin their ministry. Be Our Guests – Hospitality that Makes a Difference
We will examine the first-time experience from the perspective of your guests. How do we provide an experience so people are open to the Holy Spirit and the message, as well as compel them to return? You will learn how to create such a welcoming experience and how to recruit and train a team of volunteers for a Hospitality Ministry. You will see how this ministry is about simple things you can do with little or no budget that make a big difference. – Karen Peel
Basics of Finance
This seminar will focus on things that can be critical to daily processing of the financial resources that God provides to your church. We will cover handling donations, bank fees/relationship, credit card options, recurring transactions, checks, and balances. Learn what has worked and not worked for us as well as ask questions that you are facing today. God releases resources through those channels that maximize their use for kingdom purposes. –
