The following are areas that you can get involved with the Communicate Ministry:

A Woman's Place

· Help provide women pregnancy prevention services. Help

with providing alternatives when someone is in a crisis

pregnancy situation.

Campus Crusades for Christ

· Worldwide Christian evangelism and discipleship organization

seeking to know and experience God's love.

Colombia Christian Union Sports Club

· Ministry teaches the Bible and the love of Christ to children

through soccer in Colombia, Brazil.

Cornerstone Family Ministries

· Assist impoverished children and families by providing

various services including; rocking babies, reading to children,

beautify grounds, home repair, etc.

Faith UMC (Haitian Mission)

· Support for Faith UMC and the Haitian community.

Florida UM Children's Home

· Located 30 miles north of Orlando, this home provides many

services to children. Opportunity to help maintain the rose

garden, teach crafts, read to the children and much more.

Team distributes envelopes in the pews at Van Dyke for the 5th

Sunday offering.

Guantanamo UMC

· Ministry to Iglesia Metodista de Guantanamo (Van Dyke's sister

church) through prayer, trips, giving and relationship building.

Habitat for Humanity

· Help build homes for low income families alongside other novice

Van Dyke volunteers with a passion for helping others.

Hope Children's Home, Tampa

· Help children who have been discarded, abused, unwanted or

orphaned.

House of Hope, Tampa

· Ministry serving the needs of troubled teens, providing individual

and family counseling and temporary residency.

Hillsborough House, House of Hope

· Christian residential program that serves women coming from the

Hillsborough County jail system who want to lead productive lives.

International Cooperating Ministries (ICM)

· An interdenominational ministry of building churches around the world.

International Street Kids Outreach Ministries (ISKOM)

· Ministers to children living on the streets of Brazil who have been

abandoned and have no home.

Juveniles for Jesus (JFJ)

· Bring hope, healing and restoration through Christ to forgotten kids who

are in prisons.

Judeo-Christian Health Clinic

· Help provide clerical help on Tuesday p.m. to dental patients who

do not receive public assistance.

Lighthouse for His Lambs

· Ongoing mission to help orphaned children in Haiti.

Living in Faith

· Ministry to people and churches in Cuba and Haiti through trips,

gifts and prayer.

Metropolitan Ministries

· Serve the homeless in our community through food programs,

clothing donations, childcare and Life Skills training.

Migrant Ministries Racetrack

· Provide assistance with worship services for migrant workers of

the Race Track (drama, music, Bible Study, dinners, etc.)

Missionary Ventures

· Leads evangelism to teams to visit schools in India who haven't

heard the gospel.

Operation Christmas Child

· Coordinate collection of shoe boxes to be distributed in countries

around the world with a message of Jesus' love to children.

New Frontiers Health Force

· Mission: to take primary care medical teams on short term basis

to underdeveloped nations.

Prison Outreach PROP Kyros Prison Ministry

· Help criminals re-enter society by teaching Life Skills.

Second Saturday Serve Neighborhood Outreach

· Projects targeted to help our neighborhoods see the love of Jesus

in action through painting, debris removal, lawn care, light

construction, car repair, school projects, etc.

S.H.A.R.E.

· Co-op food ministry provides groceries for below the cost of retail

in exchange for a minimum of 2 hours of community service each

month.

Tampa Bay Harvest

· Donated perishable food picked up daily from Publix and delivered

to local charities, including Metropolitan Ministries and the ACTS

program.

Van Dyke Quilters

· Assemble, sew and present patchwork quilts to at-risk babies in

the hospital.
