Detour provides a side-road of fun for kids each Wednesday Night.

 

Introduction To Guitar Have you ever wanted to find out if playing the guitar is for you?  This 6 week workshop is a simple way to find out if you would like to play the guitar.  These simple sessions will teach chords, chart reading, playing, and how to have fun with a new instrument.

 

All Things Great And Small (What can be seen through a microscope? telescope? magnifying glass? or with your own eyes? what is hidden that you might miss if you didn't take time to notice?

 

Dry Science This doesn't mean boring science.  Come find out what cool things can be done with dry ice, with smoking bubbles, frozen apple juice and lots more science experiements.

 

5th Grade Exclusive 5th graders only please.  This fun time is designed just for 5th graders to hang out, get to know each other and talk about God.  Bring your friends, bring a snack, and come meet other kids your age.  Each week a "hot topic" is introduced for discussion.  Imagine if 5th grade was this much fun at school!

 

Food Art Have you ever wanted to play with your food?  Here's your chance!  Bugs, animals, sculptures, and more will be made and then eaten each evening.

 

Hand's On Fun If you like to do fun things with your hands, this is the workshop for you.  We will be building structures from strange materials, weaving, creating, gushing, squishing and smoothing things between your fingers all for the sake of fun.

  

 

  

 

The YMCA Night has been removed from the calendar.  A guest speaker will visit Detour on May 14.
