Living in Faith (LIF)
Living in Faith is a nondenominational, independent ministry that provides resources to leverage the work of the local church, primarily in Cuba and Haiti. We provide this help through spiritual programs, training, and meeting the humanitarian needs of the local church communities. We encourage faith-based independence and do not believe in creating a dependency upon us. We believe that by giving tools to the local churches, they can work most effectively to draw both Christians and non-Christians into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and each other. LIF ministry focuses on Vision for Christ (eyeglass ministry), Woman at the Well (water purification systems), Humanitarian Assistance, Disaster Relief, Ancient Paths seminars, Walks to Emmaus, and in developing special outreach programs to leverage the work of the local church. www.livinginfaith.net. Revival Tabernacle Methodist Church of Guantanamo
The United Methodist Conference in Cuba and Florida have created a covenant in Christ with one another. Prayerfully seeking God's will for the churches, we have envisioned Cuban churches and restored them for worship with the collaboration of volunteer teams. Van Dyke's sister church is in Guantanamo, Cuba. This church is critical to spreading the gospel throughout the island as it is the largest church in Guantanamo with 300 people in worship each week. Presently, they direct over 23 missionaries who filter out to small outlying villages. There are many opportunities to serve this ministry here in Tampa as well as by joining mission trips.
